REGISTRATION GUIDE - 5 Convenient Steps to Register
Step 1 - Read the Info
a) Read the Schedule & Information Guide to learn about Zodiac's approach, policies and programs; and
b)Review the Program Schedule to learn the days, dates and times when program(s) are offered for Zodiac's Fall 2009, Winter 2010 and Spring 2010 sessions, as well as important related details such as student/teacher ratio, number of classes and cost.
c) Please note the following policies regarding the registration process: i) Receipt of Application - Zodiac does not confirm receipt of application. Zodiac confirms your spot with an e-mail confirmation (see Step 5); ii) First & Second Choice - If Zodiac cannot give you your first or second choice provided, Zodiac will contact you to discuss an alternative. A written confirmation via e-mail or fax will be required to confirm your new requested spot; iii) Credit Card Validity - It is the client's responsibility to inform Zodiac of an expired credit card, lost or stolen card. You will be required to fill out a new credit card authorization form for Zodiac's records, if necessary; iv) Wait List & Phone Registration - Zodiac is happy to place you or your child on 3 wait list time slots. Zodiac reviews wait lists on a daily basis and will contact you should a spot open up. Zodiac does not take registrations over the phone. Please note that phone lines will get extremely busy in June and September. We will have many Zodiac personnel to assist you in answering questions, etc. Please note that while you may be informed that a spot is available during a conversation, no spots will be held and the spot may get filled by the time your form is received. The most efficient way to register is by having an application form sent to the Zodiac office. v) Holding Spots - Zodiac DOES NOT hold spots.
Step 2 - Review Discounts & Credits
Check if the following discounts or credits apply to your family:
Zodiac & Tamarack "Camp" Discount
A current Zodiac Swim & Specialty Camp and/or Camp Tamarack camper (registered and paid for at least one session in Summer 2009) is entitled to a 5% Camp Discount off the total fee for that child's Fall 2009, Winter 2010, Spring 2010 and/or Summer 2010 Zodiac Swim School program (i.e. there is no discount for a sibling unless the sibling is also a current Zodiac Swim & Specialty Camp and/or Camp Tamarack camper). The reverse is also true... Zodiac Swim School students (registered in Fall 2009, Winter 2010, Spring 2010 and/or Summer 2010) will get a camp discount:
Zodiac Swim & Specialty Camp $25 off 2-week session $10 off 1-week session
Camp Tamarack $100 off First Period $50 off Second Period
$200 off Full Season $25 off Acorn
Toronto French School (TFS) Discount
Each current TFS student attending TFS on a full-time basis is entitled to a 5% TFS Discount off the total Zodiac fee for that child's Fall 2009, Winter 2010, Spring 2010 and/or Summer 2010 Zodiac Swim School program session.
Havergal (HAV) Discount
Each current Havergal student attending Havergal on a full-time basis is entitled to a 5% Havergal Discount off the total Zodiac fee for that child's Fall 2009, Winter 2010, Spring 2010 and/or Summer 2010 Zodiac Swim School program session.
Zodiac "Swim Rookie" Discount
As a welcome to Zodiac, each new Zodiac Swim School student is entitled to a one-time "Rookie Discount" of $10.00 off the total fee in the first full Zodiac swim session (i.e. Fall 2009) in which the student is registered.
Zodiac "Sibling" Discount
If your family is registering more than one child for a particular swim school session (eg. Fall 2008), each additional child after the first (ie. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.) is entitled to a $10.00 "Sibling Discount" for each such session.
Gift Certificates
Original copy of any Gift Certificate must be presented at time of registration.
* NO discounts and/or gift certificates can be applied to Adult Swim Registration, Leadership Courses and/or Recerts.
**Zodiac Swim School credits CAN NOT be used toward Zodiac Swim & Specialty Camp or Zodiactors registrations.
Step 3 - Complete the Registration Form
a) Download and complete all portions of the Zodiac Registration Request Form indicating a first and second choice of class times (eg. Sunday 10:15 am and 10:50 am) for each session for which you are registering, any teacher or classmate requests (which can never be guaranteed); and,
b) FAMILIES MAY (SHOULD TO ENSURE SPOTS) REGISTER FOR FALL 2009, WINTER 2010 AND/OR SPRING 2010 SESSIONS AT THE SAME TIME. IF REGISTERING FOR MORE THAN ONE SESSION, full payment may be made for all sessions at the time of registration or must be made, as follows:
Please note: it is the client’s responsibility to provide Zodiac Swim School with any changes to their payment information prior to the November 15, 2009 and January 15, 2010 balance due dates.
* Registration closes: Fall: October 31, 2009 Winter: January 27, 2010 Spring: April 26, 2010
Deposit of $50 per child per subsequent session regiistered (i.e. Winter 2010)
Step 4 - Return Form and Payment to Ensure Spots
Submit via e-mail, mail, fax or drop off to the Zodiac office the completed Zodiac Registration Form, TOGETHER WITH PAYMENT by cash, cheque (made payable to Zodiac Swim School), VISA or MasterCard, as follows:
a) IF REGISTERING BY E-MAIL - payment must be made by VISA/MasterCard only. Your submission form can not be accepted without this information; and
b) IF REGISTERING BY FAX - payment must be made by VISA/MasterCard only. No registration forms will be accepted unless VISA/MasterCard is completed in the space provided; and
c) IF REGISTERING BY MAIL OR IN PERSON - your cheque(s) or completed VISA/MasterCard payment must be received, together with the Registration Form, in order to maintain your priority. If you are paying by cheque, you must send in any post-dated cheques along with your deposit.
Please note: Registering by cheque or cash within 3 weeks of your program start date can ONLY be done in person.
DON'T GET CAUGHT WITHOUT A SPOT!
We value and appreciate the interest, loyalty and participation of all Zodiac families and welcome new Zodiac families. While we are trying to offer as many program alternatives and times as we can, while maintaining the quality and individual attention for which Zodiac is known, please be aware of the following:
1. DEMAND FOR SPOTS EXCEEDS SUPPLY..
We cannot accommodate all of the families who want spots at Zodiac. Families who register late or register for only one session at a time (eg. Fall 2009 and later want to participate in Winter 2010 and/or Spring 2010) may be disappointed.
2. SIGNING UP FOR ONE SESSION DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SPOT IN SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS.
Registering for one session (eg. Fall 2009) does not guarantee you spots in subsequent sessions (eg. Winter 2010 and/or Spring 2010). Due to high demand and Zodiac not knowing whether families will want to continue, enrollment is, by necessity, on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.
3. SIGNING UP FOR ALL SESSIONS EARLY IS THE ONLY WAY TO GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT(S) FOR THE YEAR.
Many Zodiac families now register for Fall, Winter and Spring Sessions as soon as our registration information for the next year is available. Registration for all sessions, WHILE AVAILABILITY STILL EXISTS, together with full payment for Fall 2009 and deposits for Winter 2010 and Spring 2010 (with the balance of payments post-dated as set out in Step 3) WILL GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT(S) FOR THE WHOLE YEAR.
4. ZODIAC AND/OR TFS/HAVERGAL FAMILIES HAVE A PRIORITY REGISTRATION "WINDOW" UNTIL JUNE 30, 2009.
(a) Current TFS and Havergal students and siblings have first priority in enrolling in any weekday Zodiac program on a first come first served basis for registrations received on or prior to June 30, 2009;
(b) Subject to (a), Zodiac families enrolled at TFS or Havergal for at least one of the Summer 2008, Fall 2008, Winter 2009 and Spring 2009 sessions have priority for all Zodiac programs, on a first come first served basis, for registrations received on or prior to June 30, 2009;
(c) Subject to (a) and (b), registrations will be accepted for existing or new Zodiac families for all programs on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.
Your application will be date-stamped and moved into the priority sequence once received by Zodiac.
Step 5 - Confirmation
You will either receive:
* an e-mail confirmation of your registered class day, time and receipt of payment (as applicable) before the session begins (as time permits and, otherwise, by telephone). A detailed account summary of payments, deposits and/or registered sessions will appear on your e-mail confirmation;
* you will be contacted if we cannot accommodate your requested class day, time and location to arrange a mutually acceptable alternative (if possible);
* you will need to bring your e-mailed confirmation to your first class of the session.
