National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Preparation Course
(non-certification)
This course was designed to help prepare candidates for participation on the National Lifeguard Service Award program. Students will learn a variety of fundamental lifeguarding skills including: scanning, removals, rotation and communication and will participate in mock guarding situations. Candidates will also be introduced to the required physical standards and spinal boarding procedures for the award. This course is not a prerequisite for NLS, but is recommended.
